Siridion® - the partner for the chlorosilane Verbund in the solar industry

Unlike any other competitor, Evonik Industries with its trademark Siridion® offers an integrated production network for the production and processing of chlorosilanes, with German sites in Rheinfelden and Bitterfeld as well as Antwerp, Belgium. 

The “fence-to-fence” concept includes operation of an Evonik chlorosilane production facility at the partner's site, which directly supplies the customer's plants with chlorosilanes for the deposition of polycrystalline silicon. In contrast to the standalone plant, secondary flows are directed to Evonik and do not require costly transport, processing or disposal.

The fence-to-fence concept offers considerable advantages to both partners.

With Evonik as a partner, the customers don’t have to use their own resources for the complex engineering, construction, commissioning and operation of a chlorosilane plant. These steps are realized by Evonik; the partner does not invest in its own facilities. Additional benefits for the customer are, above all, the substantial cost savings that result from closed loop production and the global Evonik Verbund.



Another key benefit is that, with its Siridion® trademark, Evonik brings more than 40 years of experience and know-how to the process, which means enhanced safety and, therefore, greater plannability for all project steps.
